The AADA is an amalgamation of State Associations, many of which were incorporated in the early 1960's. Since its foundation in 1992 the AADA has set the standard for trading in the antiques business in Australia.
Our expertly vetted members uphold the principles of the Association and adhere to a Code of Practice. This safeguards consumers, enabling them to collect or sell antiques with confidence.

The aims of The Chambre Royale des Antiquaires de Belgique: 1. The South African Antique Dealers' Association was founded in 1963 with the specific aim to further the interests of antique dealers and collectors. There are 44 members based in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban and all SAADA members have a proven reputation for integrity and honesty. The authenticity of any purchase from a SAADA member is guaranteed with a written certificate. SAADA aims to bring antiques into the lives of everybody and the members welcome questions about their stock. When buying from a SAADA member, you will be assured of a quality antique and each member carries a 'buy-back' guarantee on all purchases. SAADA is relied upon by the Department of Customs for certification of imported antiques; and they are a member of CINOA (The International Confederation of Dealers in Works of Art.

The golden chandelier symbol displayed in a window or at a fair, is the sign of membership of LAPADA, the Association of Art & Antiques Dealers. Since its inception in 1974, LAPADA's membership has grown to over 600 members making it the largest association of professional art and antiques dealers in the United Kingdom. Although the majority of its membership is UK based, LAPADA also currently has 50 members in 16 other countries. Membership is only open to those who meet the Association's requirements as to experience, quality of stock and knowledge of their subject. Between them, members cover virtually every discipline from antiquities to contemporary fine art.
